The Short Version: I am a freelance photographer based in south-east London, bringing a cinematic documentary style to the work I produce.
The Long Version: Photography has been with me for as long as I can remember. I had my first camera at the age of six, after my mother tired of me borrowing hers to photograph dioramas of lego men, toy soldiers and whatever insects I could persuade to join in. At the age of 12 I bought a Minolta film SLR and in 2005 I made the switch to digital.
These days my life revolves around photography, voluntary work and studying for the BA that I finally decided to pursue. I am obsessed with capturing the reality of a place, a situation, a person or a moment. I work as much as possible with available light and am fascinated by how lighting can affect the mood of a photograph.
When not taking photographs I try to devote as much of my time as possible to voluntary projects, particularly those linked to conservation, humanitarianism and education. If I can combine any of these with photography, I’m a very happy guy.
